The JSON API
GET /api/search returns the same results as the site as JSON. Free for light use; identify your client and keep it under a request a second.
GET /api/search?q=2019+4runner+under+35k&zip=33460&r=100 returns { total, page, pages, filters, results }. Each result has year, make, model, trim, body, price, miles, transmission, drivetrain, fuel, color, condition, image count, city, state, dealer, distance, the dealer URL and our page URL. Parameters mirror the site: q, make, model, ymin, ymax, pmin, pmax, mmax, zip, r, b (body), t (transmission), d (drivetrain), f (fuel), sort, page.
GET /api/vocab returns the live makes and models with counts. GET /api/models?make=Toyota returns models for one make.
Fair use
Send a descriptive User-Agent with a contact address, cache responses (they carry cache headers), and stay under about one request per second. Listing facts are facts; images are not part of the API and must not be re-hosted. Heavy or anonymous use gets rate limited. For anything bigger, write to us.
